The First Ten Days of Zil Hajj Arabic Month

One of the great blessings on the servants of the great Lord is that for them, he has set certain special occasions for worship. So that the slave increased his time in those seasons and got into competition in the hope of getting closer to his Mawla. It is a fortunate one, who tries to evaluate those months as per the assumption that it is considered worthless. One of these special months is the first ten days of Zilhaj. The sacraments of these days are well-documented in the holy Qur’an and Sunnah.

How to welcome?
For a true Muslim, it is necessary to take pre-ceremony for the special seasons of worship offered by Allah and welcome the Season by appropriate means. So, we can also welcome the blessings of Zillhaj in various ways.

One. Repentance Before it starts the holy year of worship, it is a staunch and convincing promise of repentance and return to Allah. In fact, the world and the Hereafter are beneficial in repentance. Allah Ta’ala said, ‘Momin! Turn to Allah in repentance, that you may prosper. (Surah An-Nur: 31)

Two Firm determination It is necessary to take a firm decision to use special moments by doing good deeds and good deeds. Allah will make the roads of reaching the aim of making it easy for him to continue the mission of Allah. Allah Ta’ala says, ‘Those who strive hard in my way, I will surely guide them to my path.’ (Surah Al-Ankaboot: 69)

Three Distance from sin The way good deeds are the means of getting closer to Allah, and sinfulness is the reason of being deprived of the mercy of Allah. Therefore, one of the prerequisites to benefit from the good days of worship is to keep all of us from doing wrong and indecency and all sin.

The first ten days of Zilhaz are the Fajilata
1. In the holy Qur’an, Allah Ta’ala has sworn oath by ten days. And if Allah swears by somebody, then it is very important and meaningful. Do not swear without great things except great things. Allah Ta’ala said, ‘Swear by Fajr. By ten nights. ‘ (Surah Al-Fajr: 1-2) According to all the relevant Tafsiribidah, the purpose of the first ten days of Zilhaj is to say this ten nights. Hafiz Ibn Kassir (R) said, this is the pure opinion. (Tafsir Ibn Kassir, 4/413)

2. Allah ta’ala said elsewhere, ‘That they may reach their place of welfare, and on the appointed days, remembering the name of Allah, while offering the livestock given to them.’ (Surah Hajj: 28) Ibn Omar (ra), Ibn Abbas (ra), etc. According to the Companions and the later Manasi, it is mentioned that the first ten days of Zilhaj have been specified on certain days.

3. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said in these hadith the virtues and specialities of these days. He called these days as the best day. According to Ibn Abbas (ra), the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, “Good deeds are not so dear to Allah in these days of Zilhaj, not so much as any other day. The disciples asked, O Messenger of Allah! Even in the way of Allah (favorite) than jihad? The Prophet said, “Yes, more than Jihad in the way of Allah, but if a person comes out with jihad in his way for his life and property, then he does not return with anything of it.” (Bukhari: 969)

Think of it! This is the day of Arafa within 10 days; The importance of the importance, dignity and fasting of the day is known to all. In the same ten days, the great day of the sacrifice is the sacrifice. Hafiz Ibn Hazar Asakalani (RA) said that how beautiful the first ten days of Zilhaj is understood by me is that in these days all the fundamental issues of Islam are related to prayers like Salat, Fasting, Hajj and Sadaq. In fact, so many other prayers do not come together at any other time. (Fath al Bari)

Special Occasions of these days
A. Hajj is obligatory on the supporters. Therefore, the greatest reward for them in these days is to perform the tasks of Hajj and Umrah. Abu Huraira (ra) narrates that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, ‘The sins of one Umrah from another Umrah (sins) are forgiven. And Paradise is the only reward for Makbul Hajj. ‘ (Sahih Bukhari: 1773, Sahih Muslim: 437)

B. to fast. Fasting on the first day of Zilhaj is the work of fasting. There are special rewards for fasting especially on the nine dates of Arafah. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, ‘Whoever fasted on the Day of Arafat, Allah will forgive sins of one year before his one year and one year or two.’ (Muslim: 197) But this provision is not for those who are in Arafat that day. They are better not to keep fasting. For the Prophet (peace be upon him) did not keep this fast from Arafah.

C. Read more than takbir etc. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said in a hadith narrated from Ibn Umar (ra), so you will read more Tahlil (La ilaha illallah), Taqbir (Allahu Akbar) and Tahmeed (Alhamdulillah) in these days. (Musnad Ahmad, 7/224) Imam Bukhari (RA) said, Ibn Omar (ra) and Abu Huraira (ra) went on the market in these days and used to say more takbir; So that people can learn from them.

D To give charity The Sadaq is a great and rewarding work. Moreover, more charities should be done in the blessed days. On behalf of Allah, the Holy Prophet said, “O you who believe! Spend from the provision that We have given you before it comes, that there may be no merchandise, nor intercession nor friendship. And the disbelievers are the real culprits. ‘ (Surah al-Baqarah: 254) The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, ‘The property does not get lost due to the charity.’ (Muslim: 2588).
