PTI’s Dr Arif Alvi Elected Pakistan’s 13th President

Arifur Rehman Alvi elected as president of Pakistan He was the party candidate for Imran Khan’s Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) candidate. Today voting is held in parliament on Tuesday. Tomorrow the formal announcement will be made on Wednesday. Alvi got 212 votes in 430 votes.

Dawn News reported that on Tuesday, the vote was held in the secret ballot from 10 am to 4 pm local time of the country.

Alvi, along with the Pakistan People’s Party’s Aitzaz Ahsan, and Muslim League (Nawaz) supported the Muttahida Majlish-e-Muharlal chief Fazlur Rehman.
